Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is the closest national park to Kampala. It’s an amazing savannah forest, ringed by lakes, shortened green hills, and scattered by shorter golden savannah grasses. Lake Mburo National Park has a fantastic scenic view off the beaten path, which exposes the hidden remnants of nature. This Uganda’s smallest savannah park has a propensity to overdeliver, frequently written in the itinerary to break up the trip to western Uganda.

Lake Mburo National Park features various landscapes that are flat and rolling, with lakes, rocky outcrops, acacia shrubs, swampy vegetation, and plain grassland. Impalas, elands, and klipspringers make up the park’s distinctive biota, which is exceptional. Swamps and savanna scenery are identical to Tanzania’s savannah scenic mode. About 69 mammal species, including the big three (lions, leopards, and buffalos), are among the wildlife species. Other animals include hippopotamuses, crocodiles, antelope species, zebras, and giraffes. The park is recognized for housing the largest number of impalas, zebras, common elands, and giraffes, as well as the highest likelihood of seeing lions and leopards, with over 300 bird species, reptiles, and aquatic life.
