This hurried adventure trip is suitable for travelers who are opting to explore a bit of wildlife and chimpanzee tracking. This safari adventure takes the western route. It will start from Kampala through Lake Mburo NP and Queen Elizabeth NP and track back to Kampala. There is a great opportunity to watch the Big Five games and several wildlife and track chimpanzees. You will have much more of your time exploring the wilderness and watching the Savannah dwellers.
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
It’s your arrival date at Entebbe International Airport. I will meet your car delivery guy and pick up your car rental. Drive to Kampala at your lodge or hotel for the overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
This day, you will have your tailored breakfast and embark on your drive westwards from Kampala to Lake Mburo. With an en-route at the equator, the excitement will start with photography at the equator at Kayabwe along the Masaka-Kampala road. Then we will continue to Lake Mburo, reaching the afternoon hours, where you will enjoy your lunch and take an afternoon game drive. Afterwards, we will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Then, we will rewind back in the savannah with brighter torches to search for predators—lions, leopards, and other mammals—on a night game drive. On a night game drive, you will have an opportunity to see predators actively hunting.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
This day will take a morning of nature exploration with a horse ride. The horse ride brings you closer to nature and allows you to get closer to wildlife. The adventure starts at Mihingo Lodge, which privately runs this adventure. The horse-riding adventure can take between 1 and 3 hours, depending on the package taken. Then we will return, relax, meditate, and refresh with lunch, then take an afternoon boat ride at Lake Mburo. After that, I will return to your lodge and relax for the next day. Day 4: Transfer to Ishasha Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following your delicious breakfast, you will take a scenic drive to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Ishasha sector is very famous for watching the rare tree-climbing lions. So, with lunch en route, we will take an afternoon game drive while tracking for the lions under tree branches. On a nice day, we will be amazed at how these giants pridefully spend their day lousily relaxed under tree branches. The game drive, however, comes with several other encounters. Then we will rest at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Boat cruise and game drives
This morning, you will set out for a drive after breakfast to Kasenyi for the morning game drive. Kasenyi is the bleeding zone for several wildlife species in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy hundreds of Uganda Kobs at the entrance of Kasenyi at the mating grounds. It’s an opening for watching lions, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, bushbucks, and duikers, among so many other species. Refresh with your lunch and take an afternoon boat cruise from Mweya Peninsular on Kazinga Channel. This is one of the rewarding wild boat cruises that exposes you to a variety of both water and land species. Along your cruise, you will watch crocodiles lousily laying on the shores, hippos almost hitting your boat, monitor lizards, and other many land mammals coming to draw water at the river banks, as well as many of the bird species. Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura Gorge
I will take a morning drive to Kyambura Gorge following your breakfast to track chimpanzees. The Kyambura gorge is a unique rift valley escapement that forms a tropical atmosphere in the gorge. The gorge tropical is famous for accommodating chimpanzees; the chimpanzees here are habituated, and trackers can have that superb close-up encounter with the chimpanzees. The track can last for about 3 hours, depending on the movement of the chimpanzees, after which they will relax and freshen up with lunch en route. Then, when time allows, I will take a community visit to communities around Kyambura. Dinner and overnight

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala
Today, enjoy the morning breeze at your lodge and get served a delicious breakfast. Then, roll into your drive back to Kampala through various scenic landscapes, en route to Mbrara city for lunch, and take a tour at the Igongo Cultural Center. Continue with your drive up to Entebbe International Airport for your next flight back home.
